Jamacoaque Female

Standing female figure, arms held rigidly at her sides, cupped hands. She wears a long skirt, turban with side flaps, the shoulders and arms elaborately tattooed.
Red color overall. New nose and 4 toes on her right foot are repaired.
Provenance: Prov Otto Karl Beck, Director Denver Art Museum 1944-1975.
